Topical 0.05% Dutasteride (90ml)

Dutasteride inhibits both Type 1 and 2 5-alpha reductase and thus achieves greater than 90% DHT inhibition compared to the roughly 70% inhibition achieved with finasteride.  However, dutasteride is also associated with an increased incidence of side effects.  To many people sexual side effects are the most concerning.    This medication is typically prescribed to patients who seek to obtain the benefits of dutasteride therapy and are interested in the reduced side effect incidence experienced with topical delivery.  Patients prescribed this medication have exhausted other options for hair loss treatment and are interested in advanced therapies despite the higher incidence of side effects.
