High Dose Oral Finasteride 5 mg pills (90 count)

Finasteride for pattern hair loss is typically prescribed at 1 mg/day doses.  However, 5 mg/day is prescribed for men with prostate issues.  Men receiving this higher dose have significantly more hair regrowth but along with increased hair growth comes an increased side effect profile.  Some patients who tolerate finasteride well are interested in pursuing higher doses for the increased hair growth.  Patients who pursue this line of therapy must consult first with a physician and be aware of the side effect profile before beginning treatment.
